Frequently asked questions
If you don’t see your answer below, please reach out.
Your primary commitment is being fully available on Tuesday at 11:00 AM EST for our main feedback and refinement call. Beyond that scheduled call, you’ll just need to keep an eye on messaging throughout Tuesday as we pass quick tweaks back and forth to lock in your core logo, font suite, and color palette.
We have this timeline to allow for us to have the design approved and finished by the end of the week but if any scheduling is outside the time you are available we can talk about the logistics during the strategy and creative direction call before design week even begins. If you know ahead of time that you have scheduling conflicts, we can address them early on and set expectations so everything runs smoothly once your week starts.
Whenever possible, I use high-quality, free commercial fonts (like Google Fonts or Adobe Fonts) so you don’t have to worry about extra costs.
If we choose a specialty font that needs custom styling for your logo, I’ll cover that initial design license myself (which is usually under $25). However, if you want that same custom font installed on your personal computer for daily typing or embedded directly onto your website, you’ll need to purchase your own desktop or web license so the software rights legally belong to you. I’ll always walk you through those options beforehand so there are never any unexpected surprises!
Before Day 1 of design week, you’ll complete a questionnaire and join a creative direction call. Having your strategy, vision, and any existing materials clarified upfront is what allows us to dive straight into creation on Monday without spending design week figuring out the direction.
Because the pre-work takes between 2 to 3 weeks to complete, it’s best to reach out as early as possible. We require all strategy intake and prep work to be fully wrapped up before a design week can officially be scheduled on the calendar. Once your prep is complete, we’ll lock in your project for the next available, unclaimed design week.
Yes! The total investment is $2,500. The fee will be split into two payments of $1,250—the first to reserve your spot and kick off strategy pre-work, and the second prior to the release of your final files at the end of design week.
When you book, you’ll receive an email with a magic link to access your private client portal. This portal serves as your central hub for the entire Brand Identity Intensive—you’ll use it to complete your prep tasks, review updates, and track milestones all in one secure place, with no passwords required.
Our scheduled touch-points—your pre-intensive strategy call and Tuesday’s 11:00 AM EST feedback session—are conducted live over Google Meet. You’ll find the call links directly inside your client portal and in your calendar invites.
You can send messages through email at hello@novelspring.com, and during design week, you can message me through the client portal chat.
